How to Make a Colorado Mother****er

One of my all time favorite mixed drinks takes me back to a small bar in Athens, Georgia with marble floors, over sized wicker chairs and slow turning ceiling fans.

This is a recipe for Colorado Mother****er, with tequila, coffee liqueur, Coca-Cola® and milk. Pour the tequila, coffee liqueur and Coca-cola into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Fill with milk, and serve in Highball Glass

Tequila 1oz
Coffee Liqueur 1oz
Milk 4oz
Cola splash

Another Legend Lost

In 1966 NFL Films Steve Sabol hired Sam Spence a former University of Southern California music instructor who was living and working in Munich, Germany to score National Football League highlights. Spence's music combined with the voice of John Facenda to created the trademark sound of sports highlights videos of the NFL. Mr. Spence worked with NFL Films from 1966 until 1990. Many football fans remember his greatest hits by film title like” The Pony Soldiers” or “The Over the Hill Gang”. Samuel Lloyd Spence was born in San Francisco on March 29, 1927, and grew up in Salinas, Calif. His parents, William Spence and the former Mary Manning, bought and sold real estate. Sam Spence died at a Lewisville, Texas nursing center on February 6, 2016, at the age of 88. Some of his best work can be enjoyed here! The Power And The Glory
